She arrived at Highport Marina on Lake Texoma the 1st Sat. in Oct. 2004. She was quite unattractive, but to us we could see what she would become. First get her in the water for the first time since she was built. Yea! She did not leak. Second, start the brand new 85 horsepower Perkins engine. Then move her to the dock which would become our home away from home for the next 5 yrs.
We worked weekends, vacations and holidays rearranging below decks. During this time Rod installed new plumbing, wiring, airconditioning and more. Dock life was great. Our neighbors were all very supportive of our efforts in what seemed a never ending task.
By 2008, the interior was 85% done and it was time to load her on a truck for the second time in her life.
In late July, 2008 she arrived at Clear Lake Marina in Lake shores, Texas. She was put on the hard to begin work on the hull and deck.
