August 15, 2010    The never ending story.
Since our last post we have finished the house & have it on the market.  This was a much bigger project, taking much more time than we had hoped. We could not be more pleased with the interest. It shows many times a week.  As of 2 weeks ago we accepted a contract.  Everything about the contract is great except the closing date.  November.  A little later than we would like. With the financial world as it is we are a little nervous.  We continue to show the house & if we get a better offer the buyers have 5 days to respond.  A win, win situation.  All in all we are confident that the sale will go through & we will be living aboard It's Perfect this fall.
Other news -  the boat has not gotten much attention with all the house things going on.  When the weather cools off this must change.  We still have some major things to take care of before we can leave the dock.
The sorting, packing & getting rid of things continues.  After 20 yrs in this house, it has taken a lot of letting go to get to this point.  We are very close to being able to make the move to the boat without to much drama or trauma.  YEAH! ! ! !
Now we must wait for the house to close.  If any of you have contacted us about things that are still at the house please keep in contact.  Who knows, this might happen faster than we think.
