August 25, 2011 - FINAL POST FROM TUCKER STREET - We are living in a empty house. Well almost. The sale of our house on Tucker St. is set to close on wednesday August 31, 2011, a few days later than expected. We have spent the last month sorting, selling and giving away 21 years of possession's from this house. It was not as hard to part with the last of it as I thought. It gets a little easier the closer to heading south that we get. We will pack car and the truck leave Mckinney on wendnesday. Next stop our new home on It's Perfect. It will be interesting to see if we can fit it all on the boat. We will let you know soon!

Well it looks like it is time. I know that it is only just a few months that you two will be leaving on the biggest adventure of your lives. In a way it is like a little part of me will be gone and the other part knows that both of you deserve to see the world in all of its glory and beautiful places that are out there. Have fun and don't forget the SPOT....
ReplyDeleteI was in McKinney this week, and on a whim, I went by the Tucker house - saw the sold sign, and the obviously empty house. Drat. Missed the garage sales! Will miss knowing you two are just a stones throw away. You've had this dream as long as I've known you. Glad it's coming true for you! Enjoy!! Myrna (and Philip)
