BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE BAY |
The storms have passed & today its puffy clouds, blue skies & light winds here in Prickly Bay. Life in the bay is busy for most of the cruisers. From my vantage point in the cockpit I can see all kinds of industrious things going on. Dinghy's are racing here & there to unknown destinations. Laundry is hanging off many life lines & people are busy loading provisions onto the decks. When we are in the marine supply store, buying parts for projects there are always several other boaters busy collecting parts of their own.
This is not to say there is no fun going on. The marina restaurant has a full schedule of evening activities. Monday is movie night, Tuesday is trivia, there is a night for dominoes & cards, Craft night allows you to work on your own or learn something new. They have activities for the children that live aboard & the parents are happy for the break.
DE BIG FISH SITS IN FRONT OF SPICE ISLAND MARINE & ITS CITY OF MASTS |
Today we listened to a cruiser talk about his adventures in Venezuela, at De Big Fish Restaurant. He has been there recently & talked about how he dealt with officials, customs, marinas & thieves. He loves it there but there were few places he considered safe enough to go except the islands off the mainland. Even there he suggested not to go unless you are armed. Hmmmmm, maybe not, there are too many other places for It's Perfect in the world.
It has been a busy day on It's Perfect. Rod put up our sun shades, worked on clearing some of the storage space & is attaching our Wi-Fi antenna permanently. I took the opportunity to do laundry & change linens. Big job on a small boat.
