IT'S PERFECT - A CHANGE IN PERSPECTIVE

SOME OF THE AQUA BLUE WATER
WE MISS SO MUCH
We have been away from home for over 3 weeks & our attitudes & schedules here in civilization are so different than life aboard.  We are missing so many things about the cruising life that we have learned to love.  Friends have left Grenada & moved on to new anchorages & new adventures.  There will be new boats, people & challenges when we return.

Since being here a lifelong friend who reads our blog regularly, voiced some suggestions on what they would like to see in the blog.  I tend to write about the beauty, scenery & people that make up our new lives.  On the other hand telling in detail about the difficult times & lessens learned aboard I sometimes gloss over.  This is the way I have always dealt with my life.  Move on.......

Well I believe he is right, the cruising life is not all sunsets & aqua blue water.  Even though I see the great things about living aboard most of the time, there are many, dangers, trials & decision that make up our reality.  We have struggled with things we never expected & learned many things the hard way.  These experiences are a huge part of what has made us, the people we are today.   On returning to It's Perfect in about 4 weeks, I will strive to let you in on more of the real everyday trials, along with the pleasures of our day to day lives on the water.

All that said, there is nothing that has happened since moving aboard that makes us wish we had not chosen this way of life.  The storms, bad anchorages, sleepless nights & lack of the comforts of the USA are worth everything.  Experiencing new country's, meeting new friends & having the time to get to know ourselves & each other, has been a priceless experience.
