It is already the 5th day of the New Year, we are in Chaguaramas Bay, Trinidad. Where has the time gone? This time last year we were traveling south from Charleston, South Carolina. We have now been living aboard for more than 2 years, loving our new way of life and learning many new things, some the hard way. We dreamed of living this life for so many years and now it has become normal. With this new year we will venture a little further into the unknown.

With the beginning of another year on the water we think of all the things that we could do and the places we could go. We have a new perspective of this way of life with each passing day. Our family and friends watch as we move farther from the land and people we love, it does not mean we love them less. Our hope for everyone we left at home is that they too will reach for their dream, work for it and achieve it. Life is short, there are wonderful new things to learn about the world around us.
With all the holidays we have not seen much of the lovely island of Trinidad. We have seen people we met in Grenada and met new people from all over the world. Iain and Meg Buchanan aboard Ariadne, a Bruce Roberts 45 Cutter, left their home in Scotland in 2005 to follow their dream. They traveled to the Mediterranean, Spain, Portugal and Italy before heading for the Canary Islands. They have since crossed the Atlantic to Brazil then up to French Guyana and across to Trinidad.

Rod and Linda -- Happy New Year from John and Della in Watergate. We continue to follow your progress on the blog and enjoy reading about your continued adventures. I have a friend who is planning a similar trip and I was going to refer him to your blog where you had posted your reviews/ratings of the anchorages/marinas you stayed at along the way but was unable to locate that info on your blog. Have you moved it? Please help me locate it on the blog and if no longer posted on the blog would you mind e-mailing your reviewsto jpdewitt@marinanet.net.
ReplyDeleteTake care and be Safe,

We took that off the blog because it was so long ago, but never fear. Rod has it ready to email to you! Hope all is well there and you both have a great new year!
