CHECKING OUT OF CURACAO |
We had a very busy day. Up early and on the bus to downtown Willemstad. Clearing out of the country at Customs and Immigration was just about painless. This small island is the easiest country by far to clear in and out of. After a very short visit at the Customs office we walked across the Swinging Old Lady Bridge to the other side of the ship channel. Then about 10 more min along the waterfront and we were at the Immigration office. This would also have been quick if we had been there a little earlier. As it was we waited in line while two couples with 4 young children cleared in ahead of us. Thank goodness it was not a cruise ship!

LAST TRIP ACROSS THE BRIDGE |
We were soon on our way and back on the bus headed for Spanish Waters. Back aboard we spent the entire afternoon making water, putting things away, strapping things on deck down, removing the dinghy motor and loading the dinghy onto the deck. It is quite amazing how much there is to do before you can even think of pulling up the anchor.

CLEAR BLUE WATER OF CURACAO |
Bright and early in the morning we will finish securing the deck and be off. We will thread our way out through the narrow channel back into the Caribbean Sea. We are looking forward to good weather, winds of 20 to 25 knots and hopefully moonlit nights. Our next posting will be from the bay off Cartagena.
Watch our Spot as we sail another 550 miles to arrive in our 12th foreign country so far. We should arrive late on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. The first thing after setting the anchor will be a nice hot shower and a long nap.
