NEXT STOP THE WORK YARD

MARCH 2, 2016

Yesterday at 8am the crew from Green Cove Springs Marina arrived in the storage yard to move It's Perfect into the work yard.   With four men  working, it took less than an hour to get the low boy trailer under her and secure her to it.  The tug began to pull her out of the space she has occupied since May of last year.

LOOKS LIKE THE RV HAS A MAST!
This process soon came to a halt.  The damp sand around the boat was proving too much for the tug.  Now most people would stand by and wait for them to figure out a solution.  Not Rod.  He suggested that they put a line between the tug and our fully loaded trusty RV so she could pull the boat up on the hard surface road.  The 454 Chevy engine and dual rear tires came to the rescue.  She was soon pulled clear of the sand and onto the hard so the tug could finish their job.  It's Perfect was soon on her stands crowded between boats in the work yard.

ON TO THE WORK YARD
Now we can begin the mountain of work that has to be done before we can once again move aboard.  It's hard to explain how excited we are to begin the long list of things to do.  We have been in Florida for about 2 weeks and every time we have been on the boat our list seems to grow.  Many things on the list are necessary because for 3 years she carried us 10,000 miles from Kemah north to the Chesapeake and then south to circumnavigate the Caribbean Sea.  She served us well and kept us safe.  Much of the rest is cosmetic and cleaning.  I will post a list soon and keep you apprised of our progress.
