The winds were high & the water was choppy as we motored away from friends & family.

We moved under the bridge & out past the Boardwalk. With Going Coastal & Partnership following us out, we were in high spirits & are anxious for what is to come. Soon the winds were so high our friends turned back, leaving us on our own in the bay. We motored to the shipping channel & turned toward Galveston. The rain was pouring down, the waves crashing around us & visibility was bad. This short trip is going to take longer than expected, with the weather we are making only 3 to 4 knots toward our destination.
