JUNE 17, 2012
We left Fort Pierce heading for Cape Canaveral. Sailing was our intention but the not cooperate. With stiff winds 30 to 40 degrees off our bow, motor sailing was the order of the day. It was great to be back out in the deep blue water. The weather was cool and the swells were 4-5 ft. Winds started out about 15 to 20 knots and lightened in the afternoon.

THE ATLANTIC - EARLY MORNING |
Four miles off the coast and we did not see another boat most of the day. Just dark blue water everywhere. About 5Pm we reached the first marker at the channel. Our timing was not that great, there were two huge cruise ships just leaving port & heading into the channel. We slowed & waited for them to pass & arrived at the
Cape Marina dock at 6 PM.

SUN IS SETTING AS WE PULL TO THE DOCK |
This is the first marina stay in a while. So first things first, hook up the power & turn everything on. Since we are staying just one night we took the opportunity to get a few serious boat chores before we settled for the night. I gathered all the laundry & Rod set about washing off all the salt that was stuck to everything. About 8PM it was finally time to enjoy the sunset & relax with a glass of wine.
