TROPICAL STORM DEBBY PASSES ST. AUGUSTINE

 JUNE 27, 2012

We have been in the mooring field at St. Augustine Municipal Marina since Wednesday June 20,
waiting for Debby to move on past.

The worst of Tropical Storm Debby hit us late Sunday night with 45 knot+ winds & high waves that kept us up most of the night. Since then it has been cloudy & rainy with gusty winds.  The storm turned around last night, we were kept awake by 35 knot+ winds & crashing waves as she blew back through.
Today looks like she has finally moved on. By 3:00PM the sun was shining & the winds were blowing in from the north & north east. Finally everything & everyone can dry out. We went ashore about 1pm to run errands & pick up water & gasoline. Nice to get out & about.

First thing we ran into Judy from Permanent Vacation. We anchored not far from them at Ft. Pierce. It was nice to put a face with the boat & we exchanged boat cards. They are also heading north & we look forward to running into them again. Also on the next mooring over is Jon Ne, a Tayana 42 from Seabrook, Texas. Jon & Rene are members of the TMCA & know many of our friends in Kemah
.

JON NE FROM SEABROOK
PERMANENT VACATION 51FT MORGAN CATCH
WE FIRST ANCHORED BY THEM IN FT PIERCE

FRENCH GLAZMOR
We also met the owners of Glazmor, a 50ft power catamaran. The owners Jaqueline & Daniel Curt are from France & had their boat shipped over to the Carribean. They have spent the last year cruising from Grenada through the Bahamas and are now heading north. They are leaving tomorrow to meet some American friends that are also going north. We are looking forward to getting to know them better as we both make our way up the coast.

We ran our errands & stopped at Whetstone Chocolates on King Street for some of the greatest icecream I have ever put in my mouth. It was then time to return to It's Perfect. We put things away and Rod made us some outstanding margaritas to sip as we watched the sun go down over the mooring field in St Augustine. The end of another perfect day.
READY FOR ERRANDS
