A short riding tour of The College of Charleston located in the section of town that is called Charleston Village.  The college was chartered in 1785, making it the oldest college in South Carolina. What a beautiful historic place to live & go to school.

Saint Mary's of the Annunciation Roman Catholic Church was established in 1789.  It sits just blocks from the heart of downtown at 120 Broad St.  On either side of the church there is a vary small graveyard that dates back to the late 1700's.  I love to walk through the paths of quiet old cemetery & read the history of the people on the head stones.  In the stillness you can imagine a different life,  it seems so long ago.
