| IT'S PERFECT IS IN HERE SOMEWHERE |
October 13, 2012 - Hello from the Ashley Marina, Charleston, South Carolina. Our time since we arrived has been spent dealing with Rod's oral surgery. Everything went fine, he is just about back to normal & we start dentist appointments & boat projects next week. Are we having FUN yet?????
On Wednesday we had Happy Hour in the cockpit with Sven & Maxine, good friends from Watergate Marina in Kemah, Texas. This was a working trip for Sven, he came to Charleston to meet one of his cargo ships coming into port. We made it an early night so he could get up early to be on the dock.
Next morning while Sven was attending to business, we rode our bikes downtown to their hotel to meet Maxine. It was a lovely day in the low 80's, so she & I walked two blocks to downtown & had a lovely lunch, while Rod ran his in town errands.

After a long day on the ship for Sven , they arrived at It's Perfect in time for dinner & a birthday celebration complete with cake & candles. October 11 is Sven's birthday. Dinner consisted of roast beef, loaded baked potatoes & salad. The wine & conversation flowed freely & it was time for cake. I must say Maxine outdid herself, she brought chocolate covered cheesecake. Oh My....... a little heaven in your mouth.
Friday they arrived on the dock in time for Maxine & I to get in a little shopping, while Rod & Sven took a dinghy ride across the Ashley river to have lunch overlooking the water at California Dreaming. Their visit was short & we were sorry to see them go. It was great to have friends from our life before cruising, aboard It's Perfect.
