ASHLEY MARINA, CHARLESTON. SC

SEPTEMBER 30, 2012
We are going to be in Charleston for about 11 or 12 weeks.  During this time we will be very busy.  Along with a large boat list, which you will hear about later, we have a trip planned home to see kids & relatives & several doctor/dental appointments to get done.  Having said all of that we decided it would be best to pick a marina & live the Dock Life once again.

IT'S PERFECT
C/O ASHLEY MARINA
33 LOCKWOOD DR.
CHARLESTN, SC 29401

We moved from our anchorage in the Ashley River to the Ashley Marina, Charleston, which is just past the bridge from the City Marina.  We are on Dock E slip 18.  Some of these slips are privately owned & some are owned by the marina.  Seems odd.  We have a power boat on one side & an empty slip on the other.  There are no great deals in slip fees here in Charleston.  We paid for 3 months & got what would be called a reasonable rate.

It is a little hard to get use to all the power & water you want.  You can run the microwave or TV anytime.  We now know how we took for granted so many little things that come with living on a dock.  It will be a nice change, but we are already looking ahead to where we will go next.

I will try & Blog about once a week & WOW you with all of our accomplishments, as we attack the LIST.  But for now it is time to take a glass of wine & meet the neighbors.
