EVERYONE IS GOING SOMEWHERE

HEADING NORTH / HEADING SOUTH

Monday morning began early at 7am, what is wrong with me???? I have not been up this early in a long time. Rod headed into Georgetown with gas & diesel cans, it is time to prepare the boat for our next move. Conception Island is our next destination, about 35 miles away. Conception & the surrounding anchorages are part of the Bahamas National Trust, a sanctuary for migratory birds, sea birds & green turtles. There will be much to see both above & below the water.

When Rod returned he started the generator & I got out my trusty sewing machine. Today’s chore is to make the last two screen panels for the enclosure. While I was busy Rod topped off the diesel, put the bikes into their bags for storage & did some of the list of maintenance chores that are ongoing. By 2pm our chores complete for the day Rod helped Will aboard Varua Ti’ama with a trip to town for new batteries.

We will check for the mail everyday & continue with our list. With any luck we will be on our way within the next few days.

You may have noticed that our internet connection is getting hard to find. I will continue to update the Blog but the postings will be further apart. I am hoping to get a connection every 7 to 10 days. We will keep the SPOT on & you can watch as we make our way south from island to island.
