BEQUIA, THE GRENADINES - CATCHING UP WITH S/V PIPE MUH BLIGH

JUNE 25, 2013
ANCHORAGE OFF PORT ELIZABETH
FULL MOON OVER BEQUIA
Bequai is the largest island of the Grenadines.  Since we arrived we have walked for miles, done some sight seeing, some snorkeling, checked out the laundry, grocery & fruit market.  We have also sat in the 87 degree water, in the sand off the beach having drinks with Stacy & Rene. Their boat S/V Pipe Muh Bligh, a Catalina Morgan 440 is anchored very close to Its Perfect.

ITS PERFECT AT ANCHOR IN THE FAR BACK

In 2008 when it was time to move Its Perfect to its new dock in Watergate Marina, Rod needed help bringing her across Clear Lake.  He asked a couple that lived aboard on our new dock to help.  Their names were Rene & Stacy Foree living on S/V Pipe Muh Bligh.  The move went smoothly & they were a great help.  They said they were planning on leaving the dock to begin their new life as cruisers & in less than 6 months they were gone.

HIKING THE COAST

DON'T STAND STILL TOO LONG
THE JUNGLE COVERS EVERYTHING

Crossing from St. Lucia to Bequia we heard someone on the radio call Pipe Muh Bligh........ There could not be 2 boats with that name. Rod was on the radio in no time & sure enough it was Rene.  It is nice to see people from the big state of Texas & especially from Watergate.  This is the first time they have been this far south since leaving Texas, over 4 years ago.  Looks like we will all be in Grenada for the hurricane season & it will be great getting to know them better.
