TEAM WORK ON REEFING LINES |
JUNE 5, 2013
This entire day was spent preparing for
departure. The reefing lines were installed on the main, laundry done, groceries
bought, & a few more parts acquired.
ON THE WAY TO THE WITCHES TIT |
After a long day of working on the boat Rod & David decided to take a little hike. We are anchored by an unusual land formation inside the harbor. It is called the Witches Tit. Now, I am not sure where that name comes from but it needed to be climbed before we leave. They headed out for what would be a fairly short adventure.
STANDING ON TOP OF THE WITCHES TIT |
Within 45 min they had made it to the summit! Lots of cactus, underbrush & goats to contend with, it was
all worth it when they stood and had a bird's eye view of the harbor.
They are hoping to have time when we reach St Lucia to do a little
more climbing on the Twin Pitons. About 2600 ft. to the top.
