TORTOLLA |
After trying to contact Indigo without
success, we headed toward Trellis Bay to await Captain Dave. We
anchored just outside the mooring field & settled down for a nap.
David was suppose to take a taxi to the dock to meet us. It turned
out a taxi would not be necessary. The dock was about ¼ mile from
the tower on the runway. Rod left the boat at 5:30 to meet Davids
6pm flight at the gate. Right on time, they were back on Its Perfect
for sun downers in the cockpit. We spent hours catching up with all
the things in our lives we had missed in the last 18 months.
It feels just like old times to have David with us. We are looking forward to having him aboard to share
our passage to St Lucia. David is always up for a challenge or a
project & I am sure there will be many to be had in the next 2
weeks he is aboard.
BEAR ISLAND ANCHORAGE |
The next morning we pulled anchor &
sailed across the Sir Frances Drake Sound in 20 to 25knots trying to
contact Indigo on the radio. After no contacts with Indigo, by early
afternoon we were ready to head to anchor & drag out the
snorkeling gear. We returned to the Beef Island anchorage, dropped
the hook & I spent the afternoon taking a nap. The guys were
much more energetic & they were soon off in the dinghy in search
of a reef to explore.

After a not so early start there are a
few items on the short list for today. First the water maker is
started & the tools are retrieved to work on the fasteners of the
enclosure. While the guys were hard at work I baked a pineapple
upside down, rum cake & cooked the pasta for the evening meal.
We still have not been able to contact
Indigo by radio & are very disappointed we have not been able to
hook up with them.
Hopefully by tonight they will be
within range we will be
