FINAL LOOK AT NEW MEXICO

It is time to play catch up, I have been so busy with life in the fast lane, our Blog has been neglected.  On Sunday October 12, after 5 wonderful weeks in southern New Mexico we again took to the sky.  Dallas & McKinney, our home for over 40 years was our next stop.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT RUTH
We arrived just in time to be picked up by our son Brad & granddaughter Lindsy.  They are both living in the Houston area but brought us Lindsy's car to use for the remainder of our stay on dry land.  It was great to see them & after breakfast they were on the road home to Conroe & we were on our way to a large family birthday party for Aunt Ruth.  Our timing was perfect & the party was great, we were able to spend time with friends & family we have not seen for far too long.  At the end of the day we said our goodbye's & headed into McKinney.  After another wonderful but exhausting day in civilization, we were ready to call it a day.

We stayed in the country outside McKinney with our very good friend Lynn Odle, where she & Kenneth took great care of us.  We have known Lynn for so long we feel just like family.  During our stay we visited with our longtime friends & neighbors in McKinney, catching up on everyone's lives & telling many stories of life on the water.  There is never enough time too see everyone, it was soon time to head to the Houston area.

Both our sons, Brad, Paul & granddaughter Lindsy live & work outside Houston. We were able to stay with both of them catching up on what goes on in their daily lives.  It certainly gives you a whole new perspective when you have been gone & not seen them in far too long.  The children we took to school, worried about, lectured & loved through the good times & hard times of childhood, have become the most amazing people.

We could not be more proud of the adults they have become.  Now with families, children & successful careers, they too have their own dreams for the future.  As we follow our own lifelong dream so far away, they are always in our thoughts & we miss them everyday.

We are now in Kemah staying with Craig & Angela just blocks from Water Gate Marina, the last permanent address for It's Perfect.  We are seeing those we left behind when we cut the dock lines & took our first step out into the deep blue sea.  It is hard to believe we have been gone a mere 18 months & traveled so far into a new & different world.

Time is short & we will soon board our flight back to Grenada & life aboard, continuing on to new places, new adventures.
