DEPARTURE DELAY - KEMAH STAY EXTENDED

What a difference a day makes.  We called the airlines yesterday to check in for our morning flight to Grenada.  We made an error in judgment & skipped our connecting flight from Dallas to Houston, driving Lindsy's car down instead of flying.  Our mistake was in not informing the airline we were skipping this leg of our flight.  As it turns out if you skip any part of your connecting flights, they cancel the remainder of your flight.  Hmmmm.... no refund is offered by the airlines.

After a very long telephone conversation & a few hundred dollars later, we are extending our stay until Friday, Nov 1 at 10 AM.  It's Perfect will be alone in Prickly Bay a few more days, awaiting our return.  Every day of our lives is a learning experience, some are more expensive than others. 

While here in the US we have slowly worked our way back into the fast pace of daily life on land.  Great friends & wonderful family will always bring us back to what most would call, "LIVING IN THE REAL WORLD".  The time spent with loved ones has been priceless & we will miss everyone. 

It's Perfect is waiting & we are anxious to return.  The thought of the beauty of the islands, the blue of the water & the warm breeze in the cockpit as the sun slowly sinks below the horizon, is drawing us back.  It will be just a few more days & we will again settle into our much different, slower, daily life in the real world of It's Perfect.
