Since living aboard we have been struggling to find a solution for moving more air though It's Perfect. Air circulation is key to keeping the interior temperature down & things dry. The first thing we tried was the standard small 12 volt fan made to attach to the bulkhead. They are quite noisy and do not move much air. Next Rod purchased 4 12 volt Pancake Fans and mounted them in ports hoping to move more air through the boat . They are very quiet but do not move enough air. The one over the stove has proven helpful, as a vent for the stovetop.
Still not satisfied & looking for a better option, the search was on. While we were in the US, Rod researched 12 volt fans on the Internet and found the Endless Breeze made in the USA by Fantastic-Vent. This 12 volt fan is similar to a box fan, light weight, completely enclosed in a plastic housing, 3 speeds, impressively quiet & moves an amazing amount of air. These fans were originally made for the RV industry & were installed by RV manufacturers. They seemed to be exactly what we were looking for!
Soon we had two on their way to meet us in Kemah. Before departing for home on It's Perfect we packed all our new boat treasures in an extra suitcase. We could not wait to give them a try.
