UNDERWAY ONCE AGAIN |
It's Perfect set sail for Bocas del
Toro a little later than expected. The new auto pilot was not
working properly and it took Rod a while to run down the problem. It
turned out to be 2 wires that must have been damaged in the
lightening strike and once they were repaired we were on our way. The day was warm and partly cloudy with a light breeze blowing across the water.
Our final anchorage is 180 miles away just off Red Frog Marina.
After an intense 2 ½ months of parts
and repairs we are anxious to be out on the open water. Our plan is
to spend the next 2 to 3 months in the clear blue water of the
islands of Bocas del Toro searching for the elusive Red Frog of Panama and catching our
breath.
hours a large group of melon headed whales arrived to keep us company. They had no interest in It's Perfect as they fed on a large school of fish all around It's Perfect. The night was uneventful, we passed only 3 commercial ships before sunrise the second morning.
