FINAL LOOK FROM THE POINT |
NEW SOLAR PANELS UP AND RUNNING! |
Today is our final day in Bocas del
Toro. We have been here at Red Frog on the island of Bostementos for
about 3 months. It is past time to be on our way. We moved out to
the anchorage last week and it didn't take long for us to remember
why we love being at anchor instead of on the dock. The breeze is
fresh and cool, the night sky stunning.
We have managed to finish up a few of our last min projects. The solar panels are installed and when the sun is out our batteries are staying full with everything below running like a charm. The rain catcher is keeping our fresh water tank topped off and we are slowly getting everything put away. It's Perfect is ready to get underway.
OUT BACK CONTROLLER |
The last six months has been a lesson in working through a large failure of systems aboard It's Perfect. We have learned many things, the first is having great family and friends has helped overcome what seemed a huge daunting task. One step at a time the most necessary systems on It's Perfect have been replaced. We are again ready for new challenges of living aboard and cruising the open water.
We will activate our SPOT when we get underway and you can watch our track back to Portobello. It should take us about 30 hours from anchorage to anchorage. Three other boats are leaving here in the next few days so some of our new friends from Red Frog will be in Portobello and Colon to keep us company while we all prepare for our next passage to new places.
