THIS IS NAOMI WHO LIVES IN HALF MOON BAY |
It's Perfect arrived in Roatan after 5 days on the water. We skirted the island and came to anchor in the West End anchorage in about 15ft of water. This bay is surrounded by reefs and the water is calm. There are about 14 other boats on moorings or anchored here and we are making new friends.

ANCHORAGE IN WEST END
|
After the anchor got settled, Rod dove in to make sure we were secure. The water is beautiful, clear blue and calm. There are sea turtles surfacing all around the boat. It's worse than trying to take a picture of a dolphin, they come up for air and go back down to eat from the grass bed below before you have a chance to get the camera.
We have been here for almost a week and are slowly getting ready for our final passage back to the USA. Our days are filled with refueling, filling water tanks, finding the local grocery and sorting out below decks. I have been going through the provisions and stores trying to get things in order before we arrive in Key West.
This is a large tourist destination. The white sand beaches are full of people from around the world. We have met many new people and the locals are very helpful. When we walk the beach around the resorts we are reminded why we love living on the boat. The noise and the pace of all the people ashore is something we do not miss.
