DEPARTURE FOR ROATAN

MARCH 1, 2015

ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SUNSET IN PORTOBELLO

Our crew has arrived and tomorrow Customs is suppose to be open.  After a false start on Friday which turned out to be a holiday in Panama (Customs was closed) we will be off.  Rick and Leslie have settled into the boat routine and are ready to go.  Our passage to Roatan, Honduras should take us 5 to 6 days.  The weather should be good, wind 20 to 25, with seas 7 to 10 feet.

We are ready to be on the move.  Our stay in Portobello has enabled us to ship in parts and repair most of the destruction of the lightening strike.  The beautiful water of the Caribbean Sea.  Watch our progress on our SPOT locator.

SAN FERNANDO FORT
UP TO THE TOP OF THE BATTERY
While here Rick and Leslie got to see a few of the sights of the Bay in Portobello.  A hike up to the top of the fort and a couple of trips into the local restaurants and waterside bar in Portobello.  They will be aboard until March 14, when the return back to real life in Tyler, Texas.

We are looking forward to our short stay in Honduras.  The waters are suppose to be beautiful and the whale watching excellent.  Hope to be in Key West early April.  Will post again from the new anchorage in Roatan.  Life is good.
