Upon arrival we all caught up on some much needed sleep. Being underway in high winds and seas is hard on the body and mind. By the next day we had all caught our breath and went ashore to clear in customs.

THE ANCHORAGE FROM THE TOP |
Rick and Leslie were great crew under not the best circumstances. Having to stop in San Andres meant changing all the flight arrangements so they could leave on Friday. All of this took much patience and time. Finally it was arranged and they would leave from the San Andres airport at pm Friday and arrive in Tyler by noon on Sat.

ROD EXPLAINING THE
DRAWING AND DEMENSIONS
OF THE BRACKET |
After Rod and Rick did all the checking they could it was decided to make an extra upper rudder bearing to stabilize the rudder post. They located a bearing that was usable and a machine shop to build the bracket to hold it in place. While the new part was built it was time that we stopped to smell the roses. We spent the next couple of days seeing the sights of San Andres and enjoying our company.
Here are pictures of our trek around the island. The beaches and water of this wonderful island are beautiful.
