Bald Eagle one of five we saw! |

Rod watching traffic on the ICW. |
Up early & off
the dock at 7 AM, leaving mile marker 160 behind. The skies are partly cloudy & the winds 10
to 25. The traffic is light & Rod is
on alligator watch, all he seems to see is debris in the water. Maybe some of what we thought to be logs were
alligators in disguise. We saw our first Bald Eagle today, hopefully the first of many.
Today Rod is sharing the helm with Captain Robo Grip. Captain Robo joined the crew at Watergate
Marina after a Crab Boil on the dock with Cousin Rick & Leslie.

Morgan City Marina under the bridge. |
Today is a short day we are docking at
MorganCity Marina mile marker 95. We arrived
at 4:30 PM. Not quite a marina as we
think of it, the sea wall becomes your dock & you plug into an outlet
attached to a telephone pole. A lot of
noise & passing boat action. We used fender boards to stay off the piers. OK for one night.

That is a very generous use of the word marina.... Oh well, you're out out there (not here) and that's all that counts!
