HOUMA DOWNTOWN MARINA

CAN'T GO FAST ENOUGH
CLEAN ONE OWNER

Day began at 8 AM & we were happy to leave the dock at Morgan City.  We checked in with the Morgan City traffic control & headed east.  We had lots of company, fishing boats & HUGE barges sometimes double wide & 3 long.  The water in the ICW is littered with large tree limbs, water hyacinth & underwater objects along the sides.  Staying in the center & out of the way of traffic makes for a very stressful day.

We are headed for Houma Downtown Marina, at mile marker 58.  The day went smoothly, still no alligators but plenty to see on & off the water.  As we got into Houma the traffic got wild.  Lots of traffic.
We arrived at the marina at 2:45 PM & were pleasantly surprised.  We pulled right off the canal to dock right across the walkway from a city park.

Very nice, It's Perfect is the only boat on the pier.  Great accommodations & close to stores, hospitals & a  Laundromat.  Power, water & pump out is all part of the $25.00 fee per night..
