LAKE WORTH, FLORIDA

JUNE 12, 2012

A new day in Lake Worth, Florida, after a lovely cool & breezy night.  We have a few new neighbors this morning, 3 sailing  catamarans, & 2 mono hulls.  This part of the lake is not crowded, further down toward the bridge there are many more boats

BOATS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Today will be a day to get a few things done.  First off Rod is going to the marina to fill up our fuel & water containers.  While he is gone I will do a few (as Angela calls them) PINK jobs on the boat.  Don't get too excited I limited my time to less than an hour.  Rod is back & we will load bikes & head into shore.  Our first stop was for lunch at the Sonic.  Good burger.

We have found a Walmart on Congress St. in Riviera Beach.  Just about 3 miles from the dinghy dock.  When you are looking for a variety of things Walmart is the place you want to be.  Today a few groceries, some oil for the Honda generator's, Velcro, beer, wine etc.  It is nice to be able to stop & load the bikes one time.

Another thing Walmart is good for is running into people you know.  Here we are in Lake Worth, Florida & we round a corner in the grocery section & run right into Steve from Dock 23.  Steve & Ann own Sassy Kat.  They left Watergate Marina just after we did & caught up with us Homa, Louisiana.

It never ceases to amaze me how small the world really is.  We had a great time catching up on each others boat stuff.  He & Ann have a home not far from where we are anchored & they are leaving tomorrow to check on Sassy Kat in Ft Meyers.  They left her there to get a few things done in the boatyard.

On our way back we stopped  at a couple of marine supply stores to get a spare coolant hose & clamps for the engine.  Well we ended up at a NAPA Auto Parts store, the only place that could supply exactly what we needed.  If you are having trouble finding a part check out NAPA Auto Parts, they continue to surprise us with hard to find parts & pieces for great prices.
JUST A NEIGHBOR TAKING A DIP IN THE LAKE WORTH

Back on It's Perfect we are always surprised how long errands take & how much energy.  It's 5PM & it's time for a dip in the water off the boat (we had swim suits on) & a glass of wine in the cockpit.

  2. Nekkid swimming. Great fun. Best done under the cover of darkness or when you have the luxury of being alone in an anchorage. Interestingly, those that most often flaunt their nekkidness are the very people you least likely want to see nekkid. But then there was this girl in the Tobago Cays and I bet SW has 500 picture of her.....

    1. It's all good. I'm one of those you may not want to see. I don't care, nobody has to look. We'll be here in Ft Pierce for a few days for minor repairs.
      Thanks for keepin' up
      Rod
