FISHING BAY- OUR LAST LOOK

August 26, 2012 – It is Sunday & we are tied to the dock at Chesapeake Boat Works.
CHESAPEAKE BOAT WORKS & FISHING BAY MARINA

After finishing the job of raising the bottom paint above the water line on Friday, we were put back in the water Saturday AM.  There was a big thunderstorm coming in so we decided to spend the weekend on the dock.

The storm blew & rain fell most of the weekend.  We took the opportunity to kick back & enjoy unlimited power & water.  Saturday was quickly gone & we went to bed early, once again feeling the soothing movement of the water beneath us.  We spent Sunday making covers for the generators & dinghy engine.  By the end of the day we were quite impressed with our finished project.  Tomorrow the projects go on………..

Monday – It is time to settle up with the yard.  They did not have the invoice ready until late afternoon so we decided to spend one more night.  They charge $1 a foot for an overnight dock.  This includes power, water, shower, laundry & a loaner vehicle, for shopping.  Here is one place you get a lot for your money.
Rod spent the day exchanging the CQR anchor for our Danforth & remarking the chain.  He also changed the spare anchor set up.  There is always else you can do on a boat.
