TRAVEL

NOVEMBER 11, 2012

For all of you who have wondered what happened to us, we are in New Mexico as planned.  We left Charleston on October 25,  Rod's mother Pat passed away the week before we left.  It was very sad time for all the family, but as we all gathered for the funeral we remembered the good times we have always had.  We spent time with children, siblings, cousins, aunts & uncles at the Duncan's mountain home.

Pat has followed  It's Perfect every step of our travels.  On her dining room wall is a map where she marked all our stops along the way.  We will miss her.

We have spent the last  2 weeks in Cloudcroft & Las Cruces & I am now in Phoenix, Arizona to spend time with my sister Judy.  I will fly to Dallas on Monday & back to El Paso to join Rod on Thursday.  Sunday Nov 17, we fly back home.  I am exhausted just writing about it.

We are more than ready to go home to It's Perfect in Charleston, South Carolina.  Although it has been wonderful to see family & friends we are ready to resume our much slower way of life aboard.  The rhythm of  the life we have on the water is very different from life on land.  Changing gears has been more difficult than we expected.

When we return time will be spent on the list of things left to be done & provisions to stock.  We will be busy with projects & new friends but  knowing we will be on the move again, heading for warm clear water is good for the soul.

  1. Rod & Linda - we are so sorry to hear of the loss of Rod's mom. It is so very hard to lose a parent. We're glad you have wonderful memories of her. Our thoughts and prayers will be with the two of you as you work through this loss, and head back to sea.

    Love, Myrna & Phil St.George
