THE RICH & FAMOUS - ANCHORED IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

January 29, 2013

Tuesday morning here in North Palm Beach.  Rod is diligently working on plumbing & assembly of the Water Maker.  Steve of Sassy Kat, met Rod at the dinghy landing & delivered 3 of the four packages we had shipped to his home.  It is great to have friends in far away places willing to help.  The building of the Water Maker seems a little tedious due to having to manufacture all the mounts & fixtures to put it together.  When it is complete we will be free of the worry of where our next water is coming from.  It will be PARTY TIME!

The weather has continued to be warm, sunny & balmy.  An excellent place to wait for parts.  There have been Skates jumping out of the water chasing their dinner almost every afternoon.  At night we hang the spotlight off the side of the boat & watch as all kinds of fish appear.  First the small, then the larger fish to eat the small.  The circle of life.  It is our own private aquarium.  What could be better?  A glass bottom boat!

JACKS HOME HIDDEN BEHIND HIS YACHT''S

On the east side of the anchorage lives Jack Nicklaus, the golfer.  In front of his home his 2 yachts are docked.  The smaller, a  60ft sport fishing boat & the larger, a Westport 130.  We have seen the family taking the fishing boat out for the day.  Couldn't tell if Jack was aboard without the binoculars & we would not want to be rude.

PRIVACY'S TENDER HAS A SLIP IF ITS OWN
Just on the west side of us is Old Port Cove Marina, home to many large yachts of the rich & famous.  The last time we were in Lake Worth we happened by Tiger Woods boat as we came in from the Atlantic.  Today it sits at the dock less than 100 yards from It's Perfect.  Privacy pulled in yesterday flying a Cayman Islands flag with 8 crew members in khaki shorts & white polo's on deck for the docking.  Privacy is a 155ft Christensen, Tiger lives on a 3 acre estate on Jupiter Island with frontage on the Atlantic & the ICW a couple of miles north.  We saw his property as It's Perfect was waiting on the final bridge into Lake Worth.

MINE GAMES LEAVING THE DOCK
Mine Games also calls Old Port Marina home.  We first saw Mine Games in Charleston at the City Marina.  She belongs to 53 year old, Christopher Cline who's company Foresight & Reserves, LP is headquartered in North Palm Beach.  He seems to own coal mines thus the name of his yacht.  Mine Games is a  164ft Trinity also flying a Cayman Islands flag.
