SUPERBOWL SUNDAY

VIEW FROM IT'S PERFECT
FEBRUARY 3, 2013

Super Bowl Sunday, doesn't seem quite the same out here on the hook.  It is unbelievable that it is our second Super Bowl while living on Its Perfect.  We are still in North Palm Beach, Fla.  Our last part for the water maker finally shipped on Friday.  Waiting for parts is not good, it makes me to grind my teeth.  With any luck the part will be here on Wednesday & soon after we will be gone.

ODALISQUE
Yesterday was a beautiful warm sunny day with bright blue skies & puffy clouds. As we were preparing to take the dinghy out, Odalisque, a 116ft steel hulled motor yacht was pulling the anchor to leave our anchorage.  Odalisque which means concubine or a member of a harem is beautiful, built in 1973 by Royal Van Lent Ship Yard in the Netherlands.  Rod looked her up & she is owned by the Republican Tom Foley & has just been put up for sale for a mere 5.9 million dollars.  She has teak decks, twin 610 Caterpillar engines with a range of 3500 nautical miles at 11 knots.
For any of you that are looking to move up a few feet this would be a great choice.

DINGHY LANDING PGA BOULEVARD
Many boats have come & gone from our anchorage this weekend.  Today was a day for small projects.  Rod installed a new, bigger better single fixture red & green navigation light.
Our old fixtures had 10 watt bulbs & the new one has 25 watt bulbs, much better.  While he was busy I made 2 loaves of bread & worked at defrosting the freezer.  As we sit & watch the beginning of the game, what is really on our minds is pulling our own anchor & heading out into the blue water.

  1. Re: passages; I would love to join you guys for an advenure. Are there any upcoming legs that stand out as really needing extra crew?
