MOTHERS DAY FAR FROM HOME

PONCE YACHT CLUB MARINA

Friday was a day spent on the town, museum, shopping, lunch on the water overlooking the bay.  We enjoyed our day with Libby & David & by 4pm it was time to turn in the rent car & load the dinghy's for home.  After a hot day in town the fresh breeze off the water was wonderful.  Hammock Time!
PEREGRINE

Saturday we were up in time to see Peregrine off to another adventure.  They were heading for Santa Isabela for a little sight seeing.  We will catch up with them sometime further south.  The Ponce Marina & waterway were very busy all day long.  Boats large & small coming & going, jet ski's going around & around.  They must have been having a great time (they were driving us crazy with their noise).  As the sun went down the bands cranked up on the Board Walk & we had live entertainment all evening aboard Its Perfect.
PEREGRIN INTO THE PONCE INLET

Today, Mothers Day has been clear, warm & quiet.  I guess the Mom's of Puerto Rico do not spend their special day on the water. I will have to celebrate Mothers Day when we get back state side or the children could come to the islands.  We are leaving here tomorrow afternoon to head further east. We make our way around the east end of the island & then will stop a day or two at the island of Culebra, a national park.  Then we will move on toward the BVI's where friends from Texas await.
