IT'S PERFECT - LOOKING FOR A NEW ADVENTURE

JANUARY 30, 2014

WE ARE READY FOR CLEAR BLUE WATER
While here in Trinidad we have met average people who sail the waters of the world to see new things.  We have also heard extraordinary stories of sailing adventures.  In the past year we have traveled just over 5000 miles but our adventures pale in comparison to so many people we meet.  We are anxious to move on to new places and meet new people.  The time has come to push ourselves and It's Perfect just a little farther out into the unknown.

We will soon leave Trinidad and travel north east to Tobago and Barbados.  Then Bequia and possibly St Lucia.  It is 4 months to the next hurricane season and our original plan was to return to Grenada.  Spending the season on this beautiful island in Mt Hartman Bay would be a very easy way to spend the season in comfort.

But why can't we spend this hurricane season on a new and distant shore aboard It's Perfect?

Well the reality is, we can.  How about
Cartagena, Columbia in South America?  Now anyone who ever watched Romancing the Stone, remembers the quaint Latin village where Joan Wilder went to rescue her sister.  It is not a small village but a large metropolitan city with a wonderful old historic center founded in the 1500's. I believe this could be a real adventure, it makes me smile just to think about walking the old city streets.

COULD BE IT'S PERFECT
For the next 8 weeks we will visit a few of the islands north of Trinidad before returning to Grenada.  We will then prepare It's Perfect for
a mid April departure.  Our passage from  Grenada to Aruba is about 500 miles, our longest to date.   We will  then travel another 450 miles to Columbia.  The ABC islands are said to be some of the most
beautiful in the Caribbean.  As our third hurricane season approaches we will move on.  Cartagena might be the perfect place to add a little adventure to our life aboard It's Perfect. Time for us to take the next step to see what is over the horizon.
