Last night we spent the evening with Luis and Karen on Boca Grande in downtown Cartagena. While Rod & Luis practiced their English and Spanish we walked the busy city street. There were street vendors on every corner and many of the shops and stores were open.

We walked many blocks stopping to watch dance groups perform and musicians play. The night was very warm and humid. The city streets were full of friendly, happy people. Not many spoke much English but Rod's limited Spanish seams to get our point across.

After stopping for a sandwich at a corner shop we walked a few blocks down for a cup of Gelato. Hmmmm smooth, cold and delicious. On our way back to the marina Luis drove us along the shore through some of the more expensive neighborhoods. We stopped by the beach to look across the bay at It's Perfect patiently waiting at anchor.
