STILL AT HOME IN THE PECAN ORCHARD

SEPTEMBER 14, 2015
SUNRISE IN LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO
Time is flying by and we are getting closer to our departure from the beautiful pecan trees of New Mexico.  The weather is changing, our days have mostly clear skies with highs in the upper 80's and nights in the mid to high 60's.  Just about the time the weather is perfect we will be heading south.

ROD, SUSAN AND DAVID SAY GOODBYE
Much has happened here in the past few weeks.  We have had company here in the trees, David Damm and Susan arrived for 1 night and we had a great visit.  The last time we saw David he had sailed with us from Roatan Honduras back to Key West aboard It's Perfect.  Great tans and big smiles were everywhere after we had finished our 6 day passage.  Next came Bob and Peggy Vickers.  Bob has been one of our best friends for most of our lives and we spent our visit sitting outside the shop watching the trees grow and reminiscing about days gone by.  We will see them again on our trip south to McKinney, Tyler and the Houston area.

NEW WOOD FLOORS, UPHOLSTERY, TABLE AND PAINT
NEW COUNTERS, SINK AND PAINT

We have been working hard on the remake of our RV and it is almost It's Perfect II.  The interior is 90% finished, our To Do List has been completely checked off and the short list is in progress.   She will become our home on our long trek back to Florida and we will live in her while we attack the To Do List waiting for us back aboard It's Perfect.
THIS IS LIVING!  A WALK AROUND BED!

NEW DRAWER STORAGE

Our minds now are frequently back aboard our boat and we are anxious to make a plan for our new adventure.  New cruising guides have been ordered and we are dreaming of new anchorages.  Until then here we are and it is beautiful.  Life in the trees is perfect for now.
